Fascinating shows prepared for international firework festival

VietNamNet Bridge – The third international firework contest, “The Legend of Han River,” will take place March 27-28 in Da Nang. During this time, many activities will be held besides the competition between five firework teams from JapanFrance, the USAPortugal and Vietnam.





Supporting activities will include: circus shows by the Vietnam Circus Federation at Tuoi Tre Park, a festival of craft villages from throughout the country, folk games, traditional music performances and the demonstrations by artisans from March 21-25 at the 29/3 Park.

Other activities include an exhibition of embroidered paintings by XQ company from March 23-28 at 39-41 Nguyen Thai Hoc street; an exhibition of ornamental trees and animals from March 24-30 on Bach Dang road; an exhibition entitled “Da Nang – A New Period” from March 25-29 at the Da Nang Exhibition Centre; “Rhythm of Time” photo exhibition from March 25-30 at the Da Nang Library for Sciences; and a photo exhibition of fireworks from March 26-28 on Bach Dang road.

The competition will also feature a kite competition and dragon boat race at Bai and My Khe beaches on March 26, a parade of flower-covered vehicles on March 26, a procession of flower-covered boats on the Han River from March 27-28, a release of colored lanterns on the Han River from 27-28, plus much more.
The firework festival was selected by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to be one of seven major events nationwide this year, which would be held to prepare for the 1,000th anniversary of the Thang Long – Hanoi capital. It would also celebrate Da Nang’s 35th year of its liberation day.
The first international firework festival was held in Da Nang in 2008.
