Korean firm opens 3rd Nike shoe plant in Vietnam

Korean Tae Kwang Group has opened its third plant in Vietnam making Nike footwear at the Moc Bai Border Economic Zone in Tay Ninh Province.
The US$75 million plant has an annual capacity of 10 million pairs of shoes and employ 15,000 workers, increasing the group’s Vietnamese head count to 40,000.
It is expected to earn annual export revenues of $160 million, taking the company’s Vietnamese export earnings to $400 million a year.
Tae Kwang’s other two plants are in southern Dong Nai Province's Bien Hoa City.
