Italian NGO Care the People granted 85 scholarships worth over VND93 million (US$4,769) to disadvantaged students in the central city of Danang on Sunday.
The scholarship is part of a long-term scholarship programs launched by the Italian charity association to encourage disadvantaged students in the city to pursuit higher education.
The scholarship is granted twice every year since the 2003-2004 school year.
Since its launching, more than 800 students in the city have been granted scholarships worth over VND1 billion ($51,282).
